Our Veterinarians
Dr. Chasie Johnson
DVM, Medical Director
Dr. Johnson has been part of the Animal Medical Center of Hernando family since 2016 and brings nearly two decades in the veterinary field. She earned her BS in Animal and Dairy Sciences and her DVM from Mississippi State, and has contributed to research with MSU and the Memphis Zoo. She especially enjoys soft tissue surgery and wound care. At home in Hernando, she shares life with her son and a houseful of rescues — a former equestrian who hopes to get back in the saddle before long.
QUOTE:
“I believe the human-animal bond is a mutually beneficial and beautiful relationship, and I strive to be an advocate for those without a voice.” — Dr. Chasie Johnson
Dr. Aaliyah Finley
DVM
Dr. Finley joined Animal Medical Center of Hernando family in June 2025. She earned her degree in animal science and graduated with her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Tuskegee University. Originally from Michigan, she was drawn to this work by the unconditional love animals give so freely, and she has a growing interest in small animal exotics. Outside the clinic, you’ll find her reading, baking, crocheting, or building furniture — with her rescue dogs, Buttercup and Bubbles, supervising.
QUOTE:
“I strive to care for your pet as my very own and provide them the top-notch treatment for each of their needs. I will always advocate for what’s best for your pet, and care for your family with compassion during what can be a very difficult time.” — Dr. Aaliyah Finley
Dr. Jamie Bishop
DVM
An East Tennessee native who has called the Mid-South home since 2017, Dr. Bishop earned her DVM from the University of Tennessee in 2016 and has practiced emergency medicine ever since, with a particular love for surgery. Dr. Bishop generously spends a couple of days a week as part of the AMC Family, while also being the Medical Director of Priority Pet Urgent Care in Germantown, TN. A dedicated rescue partner to groups across the region, she shares her home with a herd of rescue dachshunds, a fluffle of rabbits, a tortoise, and her horse, Eggnog.

Dr. Christy Lynch
DVM
Dr. Lynch joined Animal Medical Center of Hernando in July 2026, bringing nearly twenty years of general small animal practice with her. A Mississippi State graduate, she earned her BS in Animal and Dairy Sciences in 2002 and her DVM in 2006 — the fulfillment of a childhood dream she never once second-guessed. She and her husband share a blended family of four kids, five fur kids, and a standing love of hiking, tubing, and white water rafting.
