Dr. John Allen Ferguson is the owner and practicing veterinarian at Animal Medical Center of Hernando and Animal Medical Center of Senatobia. He began his veterinary career in Great Bend, Kansas, then had the opportunity to return to his hometown of Hernando and open his own practice. The success and busy pace of his animal clinic in Hernando prompted growth to the Senatobia area. Senatobia is a second home to Dr. Ferguson as he is a graduate of Magnolia Heights School and attended Northwest Community College. He then received his undergraduate degree from Mississippi State University and his MBA from Christian Brothers University in Memphis. Dr. Ferguson received his DVM from Mississippi State College of Veterinary Medicine. He and his wife Jessica have 9 dogs, and he gives all of his patients the same compassionate care that he would want given to his own animals. He has a passion for animal care and believes in providing his clients with the best animal care and customer service possible.
Dr. Chasie Johnson brings valuable experience and skill to our fast-growing practices and team of vets. She received her DVM from Mississippi State and has a BS in Animal and Dairy Sciences. Dr. Johnson has 18 years of experience in the veterinary field, including research with MSU and the Memphis Zoo. She and her husband Zach live in Hernando and have a four-year-old son. Naturally, they also have fur-family and enjoy spending as much time with their horses as their schedules allow.
“I believe the human animal bond is a mutually beneficial and beautiful relationship, and I strive to be an advocate for those without a voice.” - Dr. Chasie Johnson
